People Manager
The new role of People Manager has been created to help drive our business into the next stage of growth and development. This role is pivotal in driving great people experiences.

We aspire to be a destination agency for the industry’s best talent and we need an energetic, pioneering and honest People Manager to help us to continue the great work we have been doing across our people function.
The People Manager will be required to execute talent development strategies, lead on key people projects and operations that align with our agency ambition and points of differentiation.
A key part of the role is being able to handle a fast moving, constantly changing environment with a smile! This role is central to maintaining a cohesive and positive working environment, so being hands on and ready to help with whatever comes up is essential. A key focus of the role will also be developing and managing the people executive.
Key role responsibilities:
- Work closely with the People Director (mSix&Partners) and Head of People (The&Partnership) on delivering the people & talent strategy for the UK agency
- Support growth opportunities in other European markets where applicable
- Use HR experience and employment law knowledge to coach and advise managers on key employment processes of recruitment, induction, training & development, performance management, TUPE transfers and employee relations
- Managing the visa and global transfer process, if applicable.
- Ensuring a consistent and measured approach in all people-related matters across all Op Cos with compliance with current employment legislation.
- Assessing, designing and rolling out people processes, procedures and policies, to ensure that employees and manager receive a seamless HR service
- Ensure the experience of working for our business is driven through strong culture projects- whether that’s from Diversity and Inclusion to Learning and Development. Our ambition is to be the most important place in our people’s career
- Offer guidance and collaborate with our ERG, The Collective, on all things Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Demonstrate best practice and elevate the company’s approach to people management
- Champion the performance management system and approach across the business to ensure all staff receive regular feedback, reviews and 360s
- Drive timely and co-ordinated business improvements based on data insights and trend analysis
- Work across The&Partnership to ensure delivery of group wide talent initiatives
What experience & skills does the role require?
- Ideally you will have a proven track record in an HR/People role ideally from a media, professional services or commercial environment. It would be preferable that you have had experience working in a matrix environment with a number of different stakeholders.
- We’re looking for someone with a good working knowledge of the UK employment law and who approaches solving people related issues with a solutions-based, people first approach.
- You should have generalist exposure to all elements of HR, and be able to turn your hat to a number of HR issues
- You are able to focus on priorities and able to project manage yours and the People Coordinators workload.
- You are able to successfully navigate the needs of the business and the needs of its staff.
- Adapt well to changing conditions and new ways of thinking; are courageous in offering innovative creative ideas and thoughtful solutions.
- You should be comfortable working with a smaller (but fast growing) agency where larger support structures are still being established – so we need you to have the ability to be influential in delivering change.
- You are a strong collaborator and communicator
- You have an eye for the detail and know that first impressions always count when it comes to onboarding new people into our business
- You think laterally and have a natural problem solving mindset
- You have a passion for all thing People and Culture related, are an avid learner and always looking for ways to improve the way things are done.
